3/2/2024 0 Comments Candela to lumen conversionTherefore, a light source with a candlepower rating of 5000 is equivalent to an output of 10,000 lumens. In this case, since the light is emitted uniformly in all directions, the solid angle is 4π steradians (the entire surface of a sphere). To convert candlepower to lumens, we need to know the solid angle over which the light is emitted. We want to determine the equivalent light output in lumens. Suppose we have a light source with a candlepower rating of 5000, and it emits light uniformly in all directions. To illustrate the conversion process, let's consider an example: The solid angle is typically measured in steradians, a unit that represents the extent of the surface of a sphere covered by a given angle. Lumens = Candlepower x (Solid Angle / 2π) By measuring the total light output in lumens, manufacturers can provide consumers with information about the brightness of their products, enabling individuals to make informed decisions when selecting lighting solutions.Ĭonverting candlepower to lumens requires a specific formula that takes into account the solid angle over which the light is emitted. Lumens play a crucial role in lighting technology as they allow for accurate comparisons between different light sources. Lumens take into account the entire spectrum of light as perceived by the human eye. Unlike candlepower, which focuses on intensity and directionality, lumens provide an objective measure of the overall brightness of a light source. Lumens, on the other hand, are a unit of measurement that quantifies the total amount of visible light emitted by a light source. Understanding candlepower allows lighting professionals to assess the performance and characteristics of different light sources. However, with advancements in lighting technology, candlepower is now typically measured using more precise instruments.Ĭandlepower provides valuable information about the intensity of light in a specific direction, making it useful for applications that require focused illumination or directional lighting effects. Historically, candlepower was defined as the amount of light emitted by a standard candle. It measures the concentration and brightness of light within a given solid angle. In this article, we will explore the concepts of candlepower and lumens, with a specific focus on converting candlepower to lumens.Ĭandlepower is a unit of measurement used to quantify the intensity of light emitted in a specific direction from a light source. Two commonly encountered units of measurement are candlepower and lumens. In the realm of lighting, precise measurement of light is essential for understanding and comparing different sources of illumination.

On the contrary, the base note settles into a light powdery scent, somewhat reminiscent of the Byredo Treehouse fragrance. The top notes can be vanilla sweet, but there is musk and amber, making it very intense. I find this musky oriental scent to be somewhat masculine and heavy in alcohol. Gentle Fluidity – There is nothing quite gentle at this scent at all. Overall, I think this will make for a captivating indelicate scent. The top notes of this scent remind me of Angel by Mugler or Black Opium by YSL. There is supposed to be something fruity in this scent, but all I could sense is the rich deep floral note, which can be heady, at least for me. This scent is for complicated, mature, and elegant women because of the heavy woody iris scent. I recommend this if you are a fan of very light feminine fragrances or if your nose tends to react to strong scents.Īmyris (Femme) – Hmmm, at first spritz, I can already tell that there is so much drama going on in this scent. This scent is also really good, but it tends to fade quickly, at least on my body chemistry. A light yet irresistible feminine scent that is somewhat similar to Aqua Celestia but has a bit of a woody note. A perfect feminine scent.Īqua Vitae (Cologne forte) – Sweet and floral. I can only describe the magical top note of this as sweet and floral. What a unique blend of raspberry, citrus, and musk! This scent is SO good you will need to purchase this in a large bottle. This scent will send your olfactory sense to a euphoric overload. This scent is meant to be woody, citrusy, and musky, yet somehow this scent seems like a very sophisticated blend of most water-inspired signature and cotton-like fragrances.Īqua Celestia (Cologne forte) – Described as citrusy, floral, and musky. This scent may come off as a bit masculine, but this is a very clean and pure scent that can work well with any woman’s body chemistry. Do water and cotton have a scent? Apparently, yes, it depends on the circumstances as to how they are washed □. Here is a quick run-through and my overall impression of the scents in this discovery set.Īqua Universalis (Cologne forte) – This scent smells like very cool and clean water blended with pure cotton. Each scent in this set seems to have been carefully developed to provide a completely unforgettable olfactory experience. Among the many myths, there is one about Nüwa (女媧), the goddess who created the world. Many of the meanings also come from legends and folktales passed down from generation to generation. The days' significance and customs vary between regions and beliefs. The celebration generally runs for 15 days, with each day having special meaning and traditions to honor. People celebrate Lunar New Year in many different ways, but all the celebrations are about wishing everyone the very best for the year ahead.Lunar New Year (農曆新年) marks the first day of the year in the lunar calendar. They dance, accompanied by music and drums. They watch street performances, where acrobatic dancers dress up as a lion or a dragon. In China, many people have firecrackers, which burn and make a loud bang. They move around the board depending on how the sticks fall. In this game, teams take it in turn to throw four specially shaped sticks into the air. In Korea, families often play traditional board games together, such as yunnori. They are careful to invite someone who is kind, well behaved and successful. For example, in Vietnam, people believe that the first person to enter their home in the New Year will decide their fortune for the year ahead. There are many other Lunar New Year traditions. It’s stuffed with pork and vegetables and takes many hours to prepare, so many people buy the cake instead of making it. People joke that if you have two bowls of soup, you’ll be two years older!Ī traditional Vietnamese food is square rice cake, wrapped in leaves. It is said that eating this soup at New Year makes you one year older. The rice cake pieces are round and may represent coins and money. Thin pieces of rice cake are boiled in a clear soup with slices of beef and vegetables. For example, in China, many people eat fish dishes because the Chinese word for ‘fish’ sounds similar to ‘surplus’, meaning you will have plenty. Traditional foods which are eaten at Lunar New Year often have another meaning. It is lucky to send money in certain amounts, for example using the number eight, which in Chinese sounds like the word ‘prosper’. Nowadays, many people send money electronically too. Red packets are used in China and Vietnam, as red is a lucky colour. Older members of the family give younger ones cash presents, traditionally in small packets. The young people kneel on the ground and bow deeply. The younger generation greet their parents and grandparents with good wishes for the year ahead and show their respect for the older generation. A family celebrationĭifferent places celebrate in slightly different ways, but Lunar New Year is very much a family celebration wherever it takes place. The other eleven, in order, were the ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. The first to finish was the rat, so the first year is named after him. The Emperor rewarded them by naming the 12 years of the lunar calendar after them. Unfortunately, only 12 animals actually managed to get to the race. One day, the Emperor decided to have a race for all the animals in the country. A traditional story explains how this came to be. As well as being celebrated in China, Lunar New Year is also an important festival in many other places, including Vietnam, Singapore and Korea.Įach year is named after one of 12 animals. However, it is usually in January or February. The lunar calendar is based on the cycles of the moon, so the date of Lunar New Year is different each year. 3/2/2024 0 Comments 1v1 soccer movesThe "1v1 attacking and defending" drill is another excellent drill for young soccer players. This drill helps players develop their finishing skills, as well as their ability to create space and get a shot off under pressure. In this drill, players take turns shooting on goal while a defender tries to block the shot. The "finishing with a defender" drill is another great option for young soccer players. This drill helps players develop their passing and receiving skills, as well as their ability to move off the ball and find space. Players pass the ball to a teammate and then move to a new position, looking for a return pass. This drill involves setting up a small playing area with a few players on each team. This drill helps players develop their ball control and dribbling skills, as well as their agility and coordination.Īnother useful drill is the "passing and receiving" drill. This drill involves setting up a small grid with cones or markers, and then having players dribble a ball through the grid, using different parts of their feet and making quick turns to avoid obstacles. One drill that is great for young players is the "dribbling in a small grid" drill. In this blog, we will look at some different soccer drills that are perfect for players in this age group, helping them to develop their skills and improve their performance on the field. As a coach working with soccer players aged 9 and under, it is important to choose drills that are both fun and challenging for your players. 3/1/2024 0 Comments John deere l120 belt diagramDid you open and close the bypass valve a few times to make sure it was not partly open? Mine refuses to roll backwards with the valve closed but will move forward a bit with some umph. Getting the pulley off the shaft could be the hardest part if it is not loose already. Looking at the exploded view on the parts website replacing the fan does not look that difficult once you get in to it. (That narrows it down a bit doesn't it? :duh: ) Another question, with the parking brake off, engine off, bypass valve on the tranny closed, can you take hold of the belt and get it to slide on the pulleys by pulling on it? Should be very difficult to impossible to get the belt to slide without turning either the engine or tranny pulley I'd think. Since the belt grip did not do much, I would guess the belt is either too loose for it to help or it is another problem. Price at my local dealer for it is $508.67. JD parts lookup shows the L130 has a K46AC (JD#AM131580) tranny. Drop it off and let someone fix it for me I bought the replace fan, but didn't put it on because I need to read up on it (thanks for the link above, I'm sure it will help). So you can see why I changed the belt before my first mow. Everything looks straight and fine though. So, did the belt slip off the pulley, did a chunck of something get up in there and cause the belt to jump and at the same time mess with the fan. I also noticed that the little fan above the tranny had one fan blade missing and another one with a nice notch in it. Come to find out later, what I think happened was that the belt jumped off the rear pulley a little, got chewed a little, but went back on itself. I heard one of those thump sounds, not loud, but not normal. One day while plowing it starting slipping bad. I was plowing, I noticed it was slipping a little and put it on my to-do list of changing. It went through an entire summer and a heavy snow plow year. I use the mower all summer and I plow with it to. The first drive belt lasted two/three seasons. I also show you how to remove and reinstall the mowing deck. The part number for the b. I'm actually borderline thinking of buying *another* belt and doing it again to see if I just had a borderline belt that was just not exact enough length wise. In this video I show you how to replace a John Deere mowing deck belt. Maybe it is borderline tight enough but as the belt warms up it starts to slip. Grease, etc: probably not, again, worked fine for 30 minutes, grease would cause issues right away IMHO It worked fine for the first 30 minutes, my guess. ROFLMAOīent pulley, not sure, but possible, didn't look like it, but I guess possible. I'll have to move some leaves around, tear out some bushes and shrubs to see if they are still laying there. Wait, I think they are still there, the must still be there. I put them next to the shed back when I had that stupid post. Years of flying experience is a key factor in the hiring of all commercial pilots, not just airline pilots.Īt the airlines, contracts are in place that dictate the hourly rate pilots earn. Years of ExperienceĪ major factor in answering the question, how much do airline pilots make is years of experience. These rates may be based on many different inputs including years of experience, total flight hours, aircraft type, and of course, what company they work for. Each airline sets its pay rates based on the contracts it signs. Just like any other career, a commercial airline pilot salary varies depending on a variety of factors. Factors That Determine an Airline Pilot Salary It’s important to note that there are other benefits to working for an airline beyond the salary, but we’ll get into that later. But if you’re researching this as a possible career there is a lot more to consider than just the national average. In order to ensure pilots are not overworked, airline pilots are limited to 1,000 flight hours per year.Īs of May 2021, the median annual earnings for airline pilots was $202,180. So if a pilot is away from base for 15 hours and their per diem was $2.25 they would receive $33.75. It generally ranges between $1.50 and $3 per hour. Plus, they’ll receive a per diem.Ī per diem is pay they receive for time away from their base and is meant to cover food and other expenses while on the trip. If the pilot flies 84 hours that month they’ll receive $7,560. For example, the year 1 pay rate for an Envoy first officer is $90 per hour. Meaning a pilot is only paid while their airplane is running.Ī pilot’s salary is calculated by multiplying the number of flight hours by their hourly rate. Instead, commercial pilots are paid per flight hour. By the end, you’ll have spent more than 100 hours aloft in the T-34 or in-flight simulators, learning night flying, flying in formation, aerobatics, and basic flight skills.Airline pilots don’t necessarily get paid a traditional salary. Primary Flight Training: At Whiting Field in the Florida Panhandle, you’ll start your hands-on instruction with a T-34C, a turboprop painted orange and white that is the Navy’s main trainer.
